Yellow Wallpaper

I chose to do this image because I feel like it captures the intensity of the story very well. You can see the emotions in the way the hand is shown and how the frustration is brought out. In the story, the woman sees who she can be and why she is ill and the glass represents how she can see through to the other side. She is wanting to get better but something and someone is keeping her from healing, and in this picture that is the glass.

White

In this photo; the beauty of white is the color that I am trying to show. The moon is the object that the eye immediately is drawn too but it doesn't break the rule of thirds.

Definition: White is related to light, goodness, innocence, and purity. It is well thought-out to be the color of perfection.

White means protection and cleanliness. White can represent a successful beginning. When a person wears white, it is said to clear clutter and obstacles away and means a fresh beginning. It can also said to bring about mental clarity and pure your thoughts and actions.

Orange

This photo portrays the color orange. The sun was setting at the time I was out taking pictures and I thought that the orange in this picture was the perfect tint.

Definition: Orange brings out energy and happiness. It represents enthusiasm, creativity, joy, attraction, encouragement, and determination.

You can use orange to catch the attention of the viewer and draw attention to the most important elements of the piece of work. It is known to be very effective for promoting food products and toys.

Dark orange can mean deceit and distrust.
Red-orange corresponds to desire, sexual passion, pleasure, domination, aggression, and thirst for action.
Gold evokes the feeling of prestige. The meaning of gold is illumination, wisdom, and wealth. Gold often symbolizes high quality.

Gold

This photo shows the beauty of the object and the color. I think the light hits the rose at just the right points and the shine gives it an extra elegant feature. When we see gold, we think instantly; wealth, intelligence, prosperity.

Definition: People who favor gold are optimistic, but it symbolizes good health. When a person wears gold it can increase personal power and bring happiness and relaxation in your life. Also, people say that it can actually create good health and success. It can encourage bravery and confidence.

Yellow

This image shows the beauty of yellow. It is peaceful and calm. It gives of joy and happiness. They can show the bonds of friendship and what characteristics represent the definition of friendship.

Definition: Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy.

You can use yellow to bring to mind pleasant, joyful feelings. Yellow is an unbalanced and unstructured color, so you must try to keep away from using yellow if you want to advise strength and shelter. Light yellow is apt to fade away into white, so it usually needs a dark color to highlight it.

Light yellow is associated with intellect, freshness, and joy.

Cindy Sherman

Cindy Sherman was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, 1954. She is a well known American photographer known for her abstract self-portraits. While she was enrolled at Buffalo State College, she was inspired by a man she had been studying with, Barbara Jo Revelle. She taught Cindy to learn to, "just take pictures." Most of her works are usually photographed of herself dressed up in various costumes.
I am inspired by this woman because she seems to find beauty in herself. She can take a photograph of something that is totally unattractive but make it beautiful because we know her motive for taking it. All of her photos are interesting and edgy and they make me want to keep looking more.

Attractive 2

This is my second attractive image and I chose this particular object because I also liked the texture that you can see. The flowers add the pop of color that is needed to want to look at it more. You may look at the design of the wood to keep you interested and see how each one is different.

Attractive 1

This image is my first attractive image. I tried to find something that has different colors that would attract the eye. I love the texture in this photo and how each element creates the final picture.

Repulsive 2

My second repulsive image is of a bowl of prunes. Looking at this picture, I get very turned off and it ruins my appetite. The color as well as the slimy, wet look adds to the idea of it being repulsive.

Repulsive 1

This is my first repulsive image. I think that the brownish yellow color is very repulsive especially when it is the color of your fruit. So my first picture is of bananas.

Beauty of Friendship

I wanted to show the theme of the beauty of friendship in this montage. Friendship and relationships can be so beautiful it is hard to express through words. I put three objects together that I thought expressed my thoughts the best.

The Search for Light Through Struggle

This montage represents the struggle to find light within. An individual can go through struggle after struggle and become broken inside but no matter what there is always your faith to turn back on. The Christian fish represents the Christian faith.

Sheltered

This particular montage supposed to give the theme of being sheltered either by your parents, friends, school, etc. I wanted to show how hard it is to be yourself when your are being blocked by the people around you.

Freedom

This montage represents freedom. The objects in the picture represent the theme in some particular way; for example: birds. I felt like this was a unique theme to bring out during this particular time of our lives.
